Police name new 4 AIGs

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar, yesterday unveiled the names of the newly prompted Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs).
They include AIGs Balla M. Nasarawa, Edgar Tam Nanakumo, Mohammed J. Gana and Sabo Ringim Ibrahim.
Abubakar, while congratulating the officers, said their promotion was based on merit and urged them to be more dutiful in carrying out the responsibilities of their new ranks.
He enjoined them to blaze the trail of providing quality leadership to their subordinate officers, in consonance with the ongoing reformation agenda of the Force.
Until their appointment, Nasarawa, was the CP Anambra State Police Command while
Nanakumo, is presently acting as the AIG in-charge of Zone 12 with Headquarters in Bauchi.
Gana, was the CP Federal Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) and Ringim Ibrahim, was acting as the AIG in-charge of Border Patrol.
Similarly, the IGP had ordered the immediate redeployment of 61 senior officers to various police commands and formations across the country as part of measures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the fight against crimes.
