Okorocha Rochas, Ngige Chris in Raid in Anambra
In what took residents of Awka, Anambra State capital like a storm,
Governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the consensus candidate
of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Chris Ngige yesterday
caused heavy traffic gridlock when the duo arrived the state for a road
show.
Governor Okorocha who rode in the same black Sports Utility Vehicle, SUV with Ngige and Senator Annie Okonkwo made a brief stop-over at the popular Aroma junction which caused a stir with many screaming the names of the duo.
Both Governor Okorocha, Senators Chris Ngige and Annie Okonkwo shortly after the convoy arrived Aroma junction alighted and went round shaking hands and acknowledging cheers from the mammoth crowd before moving to the Emaus House, venue for a reception organized by APC for them.
Governor Rochas Okorocha said APC as a party came up to liberate Nigeria and bring democracy to the grassroots, adding that the party will never disappoint Ndigbo. “We know that Ndigbo Anambra want APC to liberate them, that is why we have come today to make sure that our share in Nigeria does not elude us and that we must do by supporting the party”
“To God be the glory that finally Anambra is liberated. If Ojukwu were to be alive, he would have been the first person to join APC. Ndigbo has not gotten anything, but we have been doing follow follow politics. With APC, Ndigbo shall get their rightful position in Nigeria because we have lost everything to other tribes” he said.
