Prof. Attahiru Jega has been shot

Just few hours after the just concluded Nigerian March 28th elections, the INEC chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega who has truely defined democracy for the Nigerian state was shot by unidentified gun men on his way to his Abuja residence.
Even though none of the gunmen was identified, our sources confirmed that it had so much to do with the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the gunmen chanted "Jega why" before they pulled the trigger.
However, the well calculated Jega was lucky enough not to get caught by the bullet which was protected by his bullet proof jacket.
At the time of press, we received unconfirmed rumors that the 9jamebor team would likely be arrested for making such April fool joke but we are confident that Our man Buhari will grant us bail when the time comes.
If you are yet to notice that this is an "April fool" then you probably need a second skull for any weapon fashioned against Jega shall not prosper...

Death threat: Enugu bishops meet Mbaka today

The Catholic Diocese of Enugu, which oversees the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka-led Adoration Ministry, has said it will meet with the cleric today to investigate his claim that President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, want him dead.
This is as the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria on Saturday said Rev. Fr. Mbaka, had yet to report to the said allegations to it.
Mbaka, who has repeatedly stated his opposition to the President’s re-election, had alleged during a sermon he delivered in his church, as seen in a recent video uploaded on YouTube last Sunday that President Jonathan and his wife want to kill him.
The controversial cleric had said, “Let me say to the whole world that President Jonathan and his wife, Patience, are planning to assassinate Father Mbaka. It is a known secret, so whoever they want to use, I don’t know. They may not come themselves. They may use these unemployed people, the same people I am speaking for. I don’t know why people no longer have the fear of God. Do they think that killing Father Mbaka will make Jonathan and his wife win the election? Is Mbaka their problem?
In an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday, a representative of the diocese, who declined to have his name in print, said investigations are ongoing to determine the legitimacy of Mbaka’s threat.
“We have had a meeting concerning the claim he made and we are doing something about it. We have to call him and he has to explain. We are going to have a meeting with him tomorrow (Sunday), after mass,” the representative said.
When asked if the diocese had made a report of the threat to the Inspector General of Police, the source said the Catholic body would take a decision based on its findings.
Our correspondent was told, “It is after our meeting that we can take further action.”
On the Vatican’s involvement in the matter, the source added, “What has the Vatican got to do with that? It is a local issue and the bishop is handling it. It has not reached the international level. We are handling it among ourselves. It (the threat) has not been confirmed. So, let us wait and see.”
Meanwhile, the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria on Saturday said Mbaka had yet to report the case to it.
The organisation said, “Goodluck (Jonathan) may have his faults but we don’t see him as a killer.”
The CSN said cases of such threats were usually reported to the Bishops who “may then advise a report to Catholic Secretariat and the security agencies if necessary.”
The Director of Church and Society in CSN and Executive Secretary, Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria, an organ of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Bassey, made the clarifications in Abuja.
He said, “I am aware of it (Fr. Mbaka’s claim), though not the full details. I even heard a video was being produced for circulation. We at the Catholic Secretariat heard about the claim that President Jonathan and his wife are after his life, like everyone else.
“I am not aware of any such formal report. The Secretary-General (of CSN) would have told us. In any case, priests first and foremost report such issues to their Bishop, the Bishop may then advise a report to the Catholic Secretariat and the security agencies if necessary.”
Bassey also said no formal report had been made about the allegation, let alone taking the case to the Vatican.
“Like I said, I haven’t heard the Secretary-General say there was a formal report. We are hearing it like everybody else. Besides, the CSN may only come in if his Bishop thinks it is beyond him at some point. To involve the secretariat is to involve the entire Bishops’ Conference, and this is something his Bishop may have the best competence to handle, along with the security forces,” he stated.
The Catholic Secretariat which said it could not say if the threats were genuine however said it does not believe that Jonathan would want “blood on his hands, let alone the blood of a man of God.”
According to Bassey, the church will continue to pray and work for peace.
“The Bishops had met with the Commander- in- Chief (Jonathan) severally in recent months, to express concern about the security situation. This is not just about Boko Haram, thank God it is being handled; but also security against armed robbery, kidnapping, political violence, and security generally as a feature of good governance.
“The Bishops have been urging citizens to be more security conscious.
“As for the Fr. Mbaka issue, like I said, the diocese he belongs to, through his Bishop is best positioned to give a direction and or take immediate action if necessary,” Fr. Bassey emphasised

Yemi Alade opens up on alleged Instagram erotic chats with Phyno

Rave of the moment,Yemi Alade has disclosed that the relationship   she has with rapper  Phyno is a fantastic one, following the rapper’s defence of the singer after a hacker got her Instagram account to send erotic messages to the rapper. Phyno was said to have told the hackers that he did not believe it was Yemi that was having an erotic chat with him. He reportedly told the hackers that Yemi is too clean and mature for the erotic chat they were having with him.
In a recent chat with Hiptv, the Johnny crooner said it was actually Phyno that alert her over the account hack, saying the act has made the rapper a friend of high value. “My relationship with Phyno is a fantastic one. He is even more of a friend right now knowing that he could stand up for me at some point when someone was trying to make me look bad.
We are not really close, so I was surprised that he would think so well about me and replied the so called hackers in a way I didn’t expect. I respect Phyno more now. So let’s just say we are in a respectful relationship” she said. Recall that Phyno was featured on Yemi Alade’s album in the track Taking over me.
Commenting on her appearances in certain political campaigns, she has this to say: “I have been seen in certain campaigns and I have gotten a lot of questions if I am affiliated to any party or if I have any political ambition. At the moment, I don’t have any political ambition but I stand for what I believe in. I am not affiliated to any political party in terms of being an advocate for the party.I don’t really believe in parties ,I believe  more in the candidates who belong to the parties.”

My Questions For Buhari - Femi Fani Kayode

Kayode
Fani-Kayode extensively looked through the actions of the former president and decided to shin some light to the former amy man’s actions.
Excerpts:
The forces of light shall surely prevail over the forces of darkness and God’s counsel alone shall stand over Nigeria. I stand with Jonathan and I say ‘’lets dance’’, ‘’lets get it on’’ and ‘’may the best man win’’.
Yet whilst doing so we ought to consider the words of Miss Dora Ade Bentley. On December 11 on her Facebook wall, she wrote the following: ‘’Jihadi groups killed more than 5,000 people last month, with Iraq topping the league table of deaths, followed by Nigeria, Afghanistan and Syria. In 664 incidents recorded in November by the BBC World Service and researched jointly with King’s College London, the overall death toll was 5,042, or an average of 168 deaths per day and nearly twice the number of people who were killed in the 11 September 2001 attacks on America. After Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Syria, Yemen was fifth in the deadly league table, tying with Somalia, with 37 incidents each’’.
All these and some people still say they don’t know who they want as President? An individual once said, only last year, that ‘’an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North’’; in 2001, that he wanted to ‘’spread Sharia throughout the federation’’; that “Muslims should only vote for Muslims’’; that ‘’why should Christians be concerned when Muslims cut off their limbs under Sharia”; and that ‘’after all the limbs that are being cut off are Muslim ones and not Christians; so why should the Christians other about it?’’
Since some are partial to Buhari, let us subject him to a little scrutiny right here and now. Let us put a few questions to him.
Let us judge him by what he says and does.
On July 22, 2014, he told The Nation Newspaper: “Our country has gone through several rough patches, but never before have I seen a Nigerian President declare war on his own country as we are seeing now. Never before have I seen a Nigerian President deploy federal institutions in the service of partisanship as we are witnessing now. Never before have I seen a Nigerian President utilize the common wealth to subvert the system and punish the opposition, all in the name of politics. Our nation has suffered serious consequences in the past for egregious acts that are not even close to what we are seeing now. It is time to pull the brakes’’.
One may have been prepared to accept the general’s words as being those of a genuinely concerned and committed patriot who simply wanted our President and his government to do a better job and who was worried about the unfolding situation in our country if he had not consistently exposed his true colors and his obvious soft spot for Boko Haram.
Permit me to share just one example of the expression of that soft spot in this contribution. On June 3, 2013, Thisday Newspaper’s lead story carried the following headline: ‘’The military offensive against Boko Haram is anti-North – General Muhammadu Buhari’.
The story ran as follows: ‘’Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has criticised the declaration of state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States and the subsequent military offensive against the Boko Haram Islamic sect. Buhari, who featured on the “Guest of the Week,” a Hausa programme of the Kaduna-based Liberty Radio, yesterday, said the Federal Government’s action was a gross injustice against the North. According to him, unlike the special treatment the Federal Government gave to the Niger Delta militants, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished. He said he was not in support of the declaration of state of emergency in the three north-eastern states because President Goodluck Jonathan had failed from the outset in addressing the security situation in the country’’.
The implications of these comments, coming from a former Head of State, are obvious and self-evident.
Yet that same General Buhari who said these unacceptable things one year ago is now busy pontificating about his concerns for our nation. Many would argue that, that is pretty rich coming from him given his past comments about a ruthless group of terrorists who, more than any other, merit the award for the greatest ‘’troublers of our nation’’. Given this, I regard Buhari’s comments to The Nation Newspaper on July 22, 2014 as nothing but self-serving.
Of particular interest to me were the following words: ‘’Never before have I seen a Nigerian President declare war on his own country as we are seeing now’’. Really? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that the war that President Goodluck Jonathan has declared was against terrorism and Boko Haram and not against the Nigerian people.
Questions begging for answers
Does General Buhari find it difficult to make a distinction between the jihadists and the Nigerian people? Does he see them as being one and the same? Does he actually equate members of Jama’at ahl as-sunnah li-d-da’wa wa-l-jihad with the Nigerian people? Does he regard the military offensive against Boko Haram as being an offensive against OUR people? Does he honestly believe that anytime that a Boko Haram terrorist is killed by our armed forces and security agencies or that his house is blown up, it is an attack on the Nigerian people or an assault on the North? Are those people that Boko Haram slaughtering, terrorising, abducting, pillaging, robbing and raping on a daily basis all over our country not the real Nigerians?
Does he honestly believe that Boko Haram is representative of the thinking of our people or even the majority of the people in the Muslim North?
Is he still insisting on having another Muslim as his running mate in order to establish his strange dream of a Muslim/Muslim President and Vice President for our country or has he shelved that idea due to public resentment and outrage? Does he have any empathy with the Christian community in northern Nigeria for the immense suffering, degradation, humiliation, contempt, shame, indignity, persecution and mass murder that they have been subjected to in the North for the last 53 years and particularly in the last few years?
Does he still believe that ‘’Christians should not worry when Muslims chop off their own arms and hands in the name of Sharia because it is none of their business’’ as he said in 2001? Does he still believe that Boko Haram members should be forgiven, granted amnesty, pampered, sent abroad to learn and given monthly allowances like the Niger Delta militants like he suggested in 2013?
If the truth must be told, the only thing that is worse than Boko Haram are those in the Nigerian political class that secretly support and covertly assist them.
Femi fani Kayode was aviation minister under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, he was formerly a part of the APC and left to join back with the PDP recently.

Chucks Utazi is a No No…! "Why we have chosen Chief Willy Ezeugwu of APGA over Utazi of PDP..." Enugu North Youths

At the heat of the 2015 elections, series of uprising keeps springing up as anyone would expect and truths keeps unfolding as well. The youths of Enugu North sent representatives to 9jamebor to air their feelings over the media and let the general public understand their stand. In what appeared to be an open conversation, the representative of the group told our newsmen that they have finally given an unalloyed endorsement to Chief Willy Ezugwu who happens to be the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
They outlined their reasons as follows:
According to them Chucka Utazi has been in government since 1993 and has not attracted any single project or employment to his people.
In the quest to trample on the people, Chuka Utazi left his office as the commissioner for transport and took up the function of the environments commissioner; he demolished shops along Nsukka; the means of livelihood of families.
He served as the chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and was unable to make any positive impact on his people.
In his selfish bids, Chucka Utazi cunningly named the Community Secondary School, Nkpologu after his parents (Joerose), this was a school attracted to the community by stakeholders of his town.
As the commissioner for transport, he was given 320 coal city cabs to distribute and none got to an Nsukka man.
Atom Joe is a youth leader of his own village (Nkpologu), he was beneficiary of the coal city cab from the past commissioner but when Chucka Utazi came into office, he took away the cab from the young man for no just reason and left the young man with no other source of livelihood.
He has been an architect of disunity, distrust and series of misunderstanding between his town union and his village (Nkpologu) traditional leader for over ten years.
His own people (the people of Nkpologu) are against his candidacy.
They further asserted that Chucka Utazi is not accessible!
Chucka Utazi is a saboteur; He selfishly went against a gentleman agreement reached between the stakeholders and leaders of Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani federal constituency in 2011 to return Hon. Okpogu for a second term. He connived with ill meaning individuals to oust Hon. Okpogu from office in favor of Hon. Stella Ngwu.
Every commissioner is entitled to five aids (ranging from drivers, PAs, etc), this is to enable constituents to benefit from their commissioners. It is worthy of note that Chucka Utazi did not employ any aid throughout his reign as the transport commissioner, instead he collects and pockets the monetary entitlements meant for this aids.
Chucka Utazi is definitely a disgrace for the Peoples’ Democratic Party; he has been unable to express himself in campaigns and rallies, he was able to mention a thing he achieved in past positions he occupied when the question was thrown to him during the just concluded political debate
When asked why they chose Chief Willy Ezeugwu of APGA amidst all three candidates, the chanted “Willy Ezugwu is the man we know, he is the man we can access and therefore he is the man we want. They further summarized the achievements of Chief willy Ezeugwu who they claimed to be a god amongst men as follows:

Due to the tremendous achievements made by Chief Willy Ezugwu, he was named Eze Ogbozala of Opi Kingdom.
Chief Willy Ezugwu currently serves as the Secretary General of Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP; Umbrella of all registered political parties including PDP)
He is the Coordinator General, South East Revival Group
He is the Coordinator, Save Enugu Group
Our own son, Chief Willy Ezugwu is the Deputy coordinator, Save Nigeria Group II
He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of APGA
He served as the Director General of  Orji Uzor Kalu Presidential Campaign Organization in 2011
Chief Willy Ezugwu is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of  South East Amalgamation of Jonathan/Sambo
Chief Willy is a youth lover, he is currently the Grand Patron of Federated Association of Nsukka Students (FANS)
He is the patron of Nsukka Boko Haram Returnees
Chief Willy Ezugwu is a philanthropist with over forty people on scholarship in his name from Enugu North Senatorial Zone
Chief Willy has contributed in putting up structures for over thirty churches in Nsukka
Chief Willy Ezugwu is the Father of the needy; he has footed hospital bills for over 50 indigent people from Nsukka.
Chief Willy Ezeugwu has accepted to donate 50% of his salary if elected into the office of the Senate, Enugu North Senatorial Zone to be used to carter for the needy. He made this pronouncement before Nsukka Christian Leaders during a political debate organized by the Enugu State Political Enlightenment Commission in presence of the Catholic bishop, Rt. Rev. Prof. Godfrey Onah.
Chief Willy Ezeugwu has never been on a political appointment, he has never been part of any government and yet he was able to do this and more for his people. He is a man we know, a man we can access and a man we want.
Chief Willy Ezeugwu has been awarded an Ambassador for Peace by Universal Peace Federation. He received Exemplary Leadership Award from Power Steering Magazine; he was named a Vanguard of True Federalism by Inter Community Students’ Union of Nigeria. He received a Certificate of Honor from Federated Opi Town Union.
